Sunny days

We had the BEST weather we have ever had at Moclips. (I know it was unseasonably warm back at home too) What made these days even better is there was no wind. Clear skies, warm weather and no sand blowing in our faces.

Brad, Brody & Colt stayed outside on the beach every day from about 9:30 or 10:00 until 5:00.  I went in at random times and also to get lunch for the little ones.

It goes without saying we all had a blast.

Digging holes

Jumping and running in the waves.

After a long day at the beach the boys would finish it up with a game of Risk.  They stayed awake long after this tired mom went to bed.

Time for the Beach

Brad has been itching to go to the beach again. The kids have been asking about it too.  We finally found a time when it didn't interrupt too much of our school/activity/work schedule.

We got in late at night so we unpacked and went to bed.

The next morning started with a trip to Surfhouse Espresso to get some cinnamon rolls and warm beverages for mom and dad.

Out to the beach and a few pics of the kids.

Our New Basketball Hoop

Last year Brad started working on a basketball hoop for our house. We had all the parts but couldn't find the time to put it up.

Our friend Dave (who typically builds houses) agreed to put it up for us.  It was a much more laborious job than he planned on but we are all SO thankful it is done.

It has already had lots of use with many games of BUMP.

100 years for 100 days

Colt had his 100th day of school. Of course they had lots of different activities to celebrate. I thought this assignment was so cute.

Nate Robinson Basketball Clinic

Brody participated in a Nate Robinson Basketball Clinic. It was 3 hours on Valentine's Day morning. Brad took him and said Brody did a fantastic job.

Ollie's modeling

Somehow Ollie found my camera and figured out how to take pictures of himself. He certainly isn't shy in front of the camera.

Birthday Hike

When I was thinking about what I wanted to do for my birthday I knew I just wanted to do something. I was hoping for something outside but knew I couldn't count on good weather. We just had a week of non stop rain so I was excited when I saw the forecast for no rain.

I decided on going for a family hike.  I convinced my mom and dad to join us.  After all its her birthday too.

We went to the Red Town Trailhead on Cougar Mountain.

The Half Way Point

It was a little longer than I thought.

Darby wasn't very cooperative at first but she eventually warmed up.

The Birthday Girls

Our hike was 1.6 miles for the whole loop.
We were all tired at the end but it was a great day for a hike!
