Happy 1st Birthday Ollie!

Our little guy turns 1 today!   What a blessing he is to our family.  He has an outgoing personality, quick to smile and wave at anyone.  He plays well by himself and tolerates the pushes, shoves, pokes, kicks and wrestling matches by his brothers.  He is a good sleeper and eater and a healthy little boy.

He crawls everywhere and is very close to walking.  (he has taken a few steps but nothing official yet).   He makes lots of attempts at talking and some even sound like words.   Mommy, daddy, cracker, dog.

He LOVES his daddy!  He is so excited whenever Brad comes home and reaches his arms out so Brad will take him.  Then he gets mad if I try to take him back.   (this makes Brad so happy since the other boys preferred me over him)

(The lighting on these pictures isn't that great.  I'm hoping I remember and have time to take another picture today and post it later)

Colt wanted in on the photo shoot.

Just a short little video of Ollie.  Nothing too exciting, but very cute.

Brody & Ollie

I uploaded these pictures again from Ollie's first moments in the hospital.  It makes me cry just thinking about that special day.  (I absolutely love that feeling of meeting my baby for the first time.  In all honesty it makes me so anxious to have another baby.  --and no I'm not pregnant...yet.)

We are so thankful he was in the NICU for such a short time and is now a very healthy baby.

Name tags

I have name tags up on the wall with each of the boy's names on it.  We took them down and Brody decided it would be a good idea to put them on.  I thought it was cute so I took a few pictures.

Ollie is getting into his favorite drawer of towels.

And of course Brody had to put his name tag on himself.

Cut the Pickle

Since Ollie has two older brothers he is learning some pretty cool stuff at such a young age.  A few years ago at a Super Bowl Party one of Brad's friends (Tom) taught Brody to "Cut the Pickle".  (don't worry it's not like "cut the cheese")

Recently the boys started to do it again (I think we revisited it when we were at this years super bowl party).

Ollie picked up on it very quickly and it is so cute watching him "Cut the Pickle".

In this second video you can hear Colt telling Ollie to cut the pickle.

Snowball Fight

Our neighbors started to make these giant snowballs and decided to use them to make a snowfort. The snowfort then became a bunker for a snowball fight.  Brody got in on the action but cried a few times when he got hit.  Our neighbor, Jason, finally invited him to be on his team and  Brody was able to stand behind him for extra protection.

I love this picture of the kids peeking over the snowbunker.

Clearly Brody didn't feel any danger since he was eating snow off his gloves.

A few videos of the fighting.

Colt missed out on the snowball fight since he was still taking a nap.  Once he got up he enjoyed making his own snowballs.

Snowpocalypse

According to our local news stations we were in for a big snowstorm (Brad referred to it as Snowpocalypse). The snow finally made it to our house and we got a lot of it.  I was so happy and I think the boys were excited too.

What happened at night

Brody was fast asleep, but Colt was still up and we opened the shades so he could watch the snow fall to the ground.  He was loving it.

Brody is a boy of many words (not sure where he got that from).  He was so excited when he saw the snow in the morning.  I was able to get a video of him recounting what happened.  (This was his 2nd time telling it so it wasn't as good as the first but it is still very cute)

Poker Birthday Party

Brad's friends came over for a poker party to celebrate Brad's birthday.  We still had some cupcakes so we had another round of happy Birthday.   Karl was nice enough to snap a few family pictures for us.

Brody & Colt helped blow out the candle.

Brad, Eugene & Brian (Ed & Karl were also there for the party)
