Saskatchewan River Crossing

I forgot about this part of our trip. On our drive up to Jasper we stopped at Saskatchewan River Crossing. It was a nice stop in the drive and we were able to eat some lunch. The kids also had a fun time taking pictures and videos.

Jasper-Day 1

We made it to Jasper and stopped in town.

Brad picked out a restaurant for dinner.

Our campground was beautiful and even had some early morning visitors.

The Crossing & the Falls

After Peyto Lake we continued our drive up the Icefields Parkway. We stopped at the Crossing and were able to get some lunch at their cafe. It was nice to get out and stretch our legs a little bit.

A few of the recommended stops were two different waterfalls.  Sunwapta and Athabasca Falls.  The kids weren't too excited about seeing them because it was still a bit drizzly but we are glad we stopped on our drive north so we wouldn't feel the need to stop on our drive back.

We thought this was funny.  Ketchup and Mustard.  So Brad and I took a selfie with them in it.

Peyto Lake

After staying in Radium we started our drive up towards Jasper. This section was deemed "the most beautiful drive in North America". It was very beautiful although it was a bit of an overcast day.

There were a lot of suggested turn offs and the first place we stopped was Peyto Lake.  It wasn't as sunny as we were hoping but it was still beautiful.  We also quickly learned how crowded everything would be even though the drive didn't seem to have too many cars on it.

On the road again....

We left a few weeks ago for our annual big RV trip. It is always so nice to be in MARV. It was a bit stressful because we weren't sure if we were even going to be able to go to Jasper and Banff with all the Canadian Wildfires. Brad used his Chatgpt skills and we found a new route to avoid any potential dangerous fires.

Thankfully we made it to Coeur D'Alene for our first night.   It was smoky there but not too bad.  Then we drove north and ended up in a town called Radium.   It was still a bit smoky but not as bad as what we had driven through.

There was also a bear warning on the bathroom.
