Swimming with Sharks

I didn't plan much for Darby & Brad and just let them decide as they explored the island. Darby decided she wanted to swim with sharks. I sent Brad the link for a place where they could and he booked a time to go.  There was a lot of warning about the possibility of getting seasick so Brad took a dramamine.

Unfortunately, the one dramamine wasn't quite enough and Brad had a rough time at sea.  Thankfully Darby didn't have any seasickness and she had a wonderful time swimming with the sharks.

Beach Time

Darby and Brad spent a lot of time relaxing at the beach because why wouldn't you. They also tried snorkeling but it wasn't quite as relaxing as they were hoping.

Ollie Pillar Award

While Darby & Brad were gone we still had a lot going on. Ollie received a Pillar award at school.  There were a lot of other kids who received an award too but I'm always thankful when kids get recognized for doing good things.

Pearl Harbor

One of the first things Brad and Darby did was visit Pearl Harbor. It probably wasn't at the top of the list for Darby but I knew Brad would want to see it.  They both enjoyed the visit and Darby even told Brad she had learned about some of this in school.

Waikiki

Brad and Darby flew to Oahu for her 10 year old trip. The first night they stayed at the Sheraton and enjoyed this awesome view. They also spent time exploring and getting yummy drinks and food.

Early Wake up

A few weeks ago we woke Darby up at 5:00 AM. We told her it was time to get ready. She was very grumpy and asked "Why? What do I need to get up for?" We told her it was time to go on a trip. She slowly smiled and her eyes popped open and she was ready.

I dropped her and Brad off at the airport.  More to come.

Blue Skies

Another morning of cross country skiing with my friend Sarah.   We love the blue skies.
