Thanksgiving

After the Turkey Trot we drove down to Dallas & Carissa's house for the Thanksgiving meal. It was fun to be around younger kids. They bring lots of energy and fun to any event.  And of course holding a baby is always great!

Turkey Trot

I forced my family to run the Turkey Trot again. They were grumbling about it but in the end I think we were all better for it....maybe a bit sore....but we felt like we accomplished something before the big Thanksgiving day.

Dodd Clean up

Dodd field (where the kids have played lots of baseball and softball games) had a ton of tree branches on the fields.  They organized a clean up crew and we made our kids participate.   Once we got there we got kicked off pretty quickly.   There were so many trees down nearby that the tree clean up crew didn't want us in the area.   We were still able to clean up quite a bit.

Early Thanksgiving

Power was back on at Grammy's place so we were able to join her for their Thanksgiving dinner. It was a full week before Thanksgiving. It was nice to go some place warm and have some delicious food. The company was also great!

Bomb Cyclone

We were starting to get some rumors about a wind storm headed our way. Thankfully I read some articles and started to think this could be a big storm. But you never know because a lot of it just depends on where you live in the midst of all of it. Well, we were in almost the smack dab middle of it.

We lost our power on Tuesday around 5:00.   Thankfully Brad had tested out the generator so we were able to use that to keep our fridge and freezer cold and also heat up our house.  We used it to watch a movie together as a family.

The next day the kids played some football.

We also went for a walk only to come upon a house fire right at the end of our street.  It was crazy!   Everyone was safe.

There were a lot of trees down in our neighborhood but there were even more in downtown Issaquah.

Our power finally came back Friday afternoon.

Bananagrams

I'm not sure how this happened but I walked in on Brody, Colt, Ollie and Darby playing a game of bananagrams. I love it when they peacefully play games together.
