Wild Waves

Ollie went to Wild Waves with his band class.  They had a performance in the morning (where they took first place) then spent the rest of the day at Wild Waves.  It was a colder day so they didn't do any of the water activities.  One of the chaperones sent me this picture and Ollie is on there somewhere.

 

Softball Champions

Brad and Darby's team played in the Little League Championship. It was a very close game with the other team getting started with one run in the first inning. It stayed that way until the 3rd inning when Darby hit a triple. Then Vanessa was able to hit her in. It was tied until the 6th inning when Darby hit an in the park home run and her team went ahead. They held on to the 2-1 lead in the bottom of the 6th and won the game. It was a nail biter and I was definitely hiding in my car at the end.

 

 

 

9th Grade Rep

Ollie decided to run for 9th grade representative. This is for next year. He had to put together a campaign, including signs and a speech.  I was so proud of him. 

The results came back and he is one of 3 representing the 9th graders next year.  

 

Aunt Jessi sent us this idea for a slogan.

Friends

Brad's friend Lance and his son Zach stopped by last week. We visited them on our big RV trip so it was fun to see them again. The boys challenged Zach to a game of pickleball.  He was impressed by their skills, but they have been playing more than most kids. 

 

Track finals

Darby and Ollie had their track finals for middle school.   They both ran the mile and did a great job.   They both ended up getting PRs.    They had a cheering section too.

Homerun Derby

The Little League hosted the homerun derby a few weeks ago. We signed Bo & Darby up to participate.  They both had a great time.   

Bo didn't make it out of his first round. 

Darby ended up winning for the 11 year old age group, barely beating her teammate Vanessa. 

The Mariner Moose also showed up.  What a fun event for all the kids!
