Kenai Fjords

For our first full day in Seward we had booked a 6 hour Kenai Fjords tour.   We took some dramamine and settled at our tables.  We spent about 45 minutes to an hour to get to our first place where we could see some nature. While we waited we had some lunch.

And a few drinks....

We saw otters, Sea Lions, Puffins, Cormorants and other types of birds.

We also saw some humpback whales and then went to visit this Glacier.

They fished out some glacier ice so they could show the density of the glacier ice.

Then we had some glacier margaritas.

The captain took us a little off course so we could see some Orca Whales.

It was a long time on the boat especially when Bo was asking how much longer when we were only 30 minutes in.  But we really enjoyed seeing the beauty and all the wildlife.

And we were able to see our RV from the boat.

Seward Campfire

After the conservation park we drove a little over an hour to Seward.   The drive was beautiful!

As soon as we got our RV's hooked up we set up a campfire right near the water.

You can't beat this kind of view from the campfire.

Wildlife Conservation Park

On our trek south we decided to go to the Wildlife Conservation Park. We read some good reviews and were hopeful we would see some bears.  We saw lots of porcupines.

We saw this herd of Elk just chilling.

There is a bear in this picture....It's just hard to see.

We also saw some Meese.....or is it a few Moose.

Overall, we thought the experience was ok.   We probably wouldn't spend the money again but we are glad we did take the time to check it out so we know for next time.

Alyeska

When we got to the top of the Tram we went to the other side and were so impressed by the views and the beauty.  We hiked up a trail that looked short from the bottom but was a good, steep hike for all of us.   It was so beautiful up there!  It was worth the cost of the Tram ticket.   After we hiked and did some exploring we stopped at their restaurant for a late lunch.   It was such a fun adventure and I am so glad we stopped here.
