Summer treat

Sometimes I will stop and get the kids a summer treat. Since it was just the 2 of them the expense wasn't as overwhelming.

 

Kid time

We had a few days to recover from the Glaser/Vance tour until we got to have Eva & Ellis over for a few days.  I drove down to their house to pick them up.   We ate breakfast before we headed back to our house.   As soon as they got to our house the fun never stopped. 

We played race tracks, beyblades, water balloons, rode bikes, went swimming and ate snacks.   It was fun having little kids in our house but also a bit exhausting.   

They are adorable and so glad we were able to have them over. 

Soccer fans!

The last event we had with the Glaser's was Brody's soccer game. It was an 8:30 start and it was the first game for his team this season. This is also a new team for him with new teammates and coach. He wasn't sure what position he would be playing. He ended up starting as the center forward and he did great! He had an assist in the first half and the whole family was cheering for him. In the 2nd half he was playing up front and we moved towards that end of the field. He ended up scoring off a set piece with a header into the goal. We went nuts!  Our cheering was obnoxious and so much fun!   

Then about 10 minutes later he scored again with a little dribble and shot to the side of the keeper.  We went even more nuts!   We all had the best time and it was so fun to cheer for Brody. 

His team played two more games in the tournament.  They lost their 2nd and won their 3rd.   But somehow they didn't get a chance to advance.  

Thankfully we will always have this fun memory for Brody and the cousins. 

Sometimes sports aren't so dumb. 

 

Saltwater

Gunner & Sayler left on Wednesday so Thursday was just a hang out time at Papa Bob's. On Friday we went back down to Papa Bob's (after visiting Fafa) 

 

I thought we were going to go this whole time with the Vance's/Glaser's without going down to Saltwater Park.  But one of the boys (George or Wes) suggested going down there and everyone was in.  

 

It was a beautiful day at the beach!
