Opening Day

We decided at pretty much the last minute to go to the Opening Day of the Mariners. Ollie wasn't able to come because he had been invited to a birthday party.  Even though it was a little cold it was a fun day at the ball park, especially when the Mariners won. 

 

Spring Training

When Brad & Colt were in Arizona for baseball they went to a Mariners Spring Training game.

This is a picture of Colt washing his white pants that became very dirty in the red clay dirt.

Brad snapped this picture of me sleeping in Bo's bed.  I love that his little arm is around me. What a sweetheart!  I cherish these things. 

Sweet 16!

We went around the table saying things we liked or appreciated about Brody. There are so many wonderful things.  When it came to my turn I couldn't say a thing because I had too many tears.   And here they are again as I write this.   

We are so incredibly thankful to be Brody's parents and to watch him grow into such a wonderful young man.  He still has his teenage moments but he has been such a great kid!  And I always reflect on the day he was born and how things could have turned out so differently.  I'm always and forever thankful!

Lynden Soccer

Darby had a soccer game in Lynden (a good 2 hour drive away). I was originally going to send her up with a teammate because Brad was gone and I didn't want to manage all the other kids being at home. But then I remembered that our friends live in Lynden and it would be a good excuse to see them.  I gave the boys the option to stay home or to come to Darby's game so we could see the Vander Linden's and they all chose to go up north.   

Unfortunately, Darby's team didn't win but they played well and dominated the game.  

Bo wanted to sneak into this picture with Darby & Blake.

The kids were watching the Creighton March Madness game with Jeff.  (Their internet was down so they could only watch it on his phone).  

 

Bed Hogs

 Brad was out of town with Colt so I let Darby & Bo sleep in the bed with me.  It didn't take very long for me to move to Darby's bed.   They tried to tell me the two of them equaled the same space as Brad but they forget to account for the kicking and rolling over that they do. 

Pitching

Little League season has started and Bo has had a chance to pitch in his first game.  He was doing quite well and then his coach pulled him out of the game.  It was a little confusing but then Bo told us he knew he was going to be pulled after a certain number of pitches.
