Competitors

We forgot to get a picture of Colt and Ollie together at their race so Brad took this one when we got home.

Bento Box

Ollie had to create a “Bento Box” for the book he is reading in class.   I love watching him out projects together.

Upgrade

A package came in the mail for Brad and Darby thought it was his new phone.  I told her I didn’t think so because we weren’t supposed to get it until the middle of December.   But I was wrong.

Laser Tag Party

After his cross country meet, Ollie went to his friend's birthday party. (our neighbor) They played laser tag and then had some fun in their backyard.

Celebrating XC

Even though I just wanted to go home after the cross country meet, Brad thought we needed to celebrate and he was also hungry. So we went to BJ's restaurant in Redmond for some lunch/dinner.  I love having family time together.

(Colt, Darby and I are on the other side...I just forgot to take a picture).

Colt's Race

Colt's race was an hour after Ollie's. It was also longer.  This was a 4K (around 2.48 miles).   Colt was anxious about the distance because he hasn't really run that far in a while.   But he did a great job.   With over 100 kids (a lot of them very serious about running and in high school) he placed 48th.   (Unfortunately he doesn't qualify for regionals but he is still going to practice with the Gliders for the rest of the season)

We are so proud of him!

Ollie's Race

We received an e-mail inviting Colt & Ollie to join the Gliders Extended Cross Country season.  The idea is they can get some more running practice in and participate in a Junior Olympics Cross Country Race.  So last weekend Ollie & Colt competed at Magnuson Park.  It was a beautiful, cold fall day....perfect for a race.
Ollie was up first with his age group.  They ran a 3K (the same distance as the courses he ran in middle school).  It was so fun to watch him run and he did such a great job.  He placed 18th out of over 100 kids and qualified for the regional meet next weekend.

We are so proud of him!
