P.E. Substitute

I was able to be Darby's substitute P.E. teacher. I love it when I get to see them (even if they act like they aren't as thrilled as I am). They were playing a game called Knock down which involved throwing dodge balls at bowling pins.  It is fun to watch her play and participate in P. E. activities. 

Unfortunately, I only spent half the day in there because they needed me to sub in a 2nd grade class for the afternoon.  

 

Honey Mishap

We ended up with a slight problem in MARV. Somehow one of our honey containers was open and it tipped over.  The honey slowly oozed its way down the floor towards the drivers seat.  (It was on a slight tilt).  Brad cleaned it up and asked Darby to help.  She was super helpful and even stuck her head under this vent to see if any honey had leaked in there, which it did.   Thankfully it is all cleaned up and we will be a little more diligent about food storage, hopefully. 

 

Happy 9th Bo!

Last week we celebrated Bo's 9th birthday!  It started with donuts for breakfast, then some sushi at school for lunch.  He wanted sushi for dinner but our sushi restaurant was closed so we saved it for the next night and had spaghetti instead (his 2nd choice). 

Opening some presents (Darby picked out most of them).

Ollie played "happy Birthday" on the trumpet. 

Bo had a hard time not laughing while he was trying to blow out his candles. 

 

Backyard Soccer

Wake Surfing

Darby went out on the boat with her friend Rachel.  This time they let her try some wake surfing.  She had so much fun and even dropped the rope.   And yes this was in October with over 75 degree temperatures....although a little smoky.  

 

Women's Soccer

 My friend invited me to a Washington State Youth Soccer banquet honoring 50 years of women's soccer.  After a busy day of soccer for the kids it was fun to get out and hang out with some soccer friends I haven't seen in two years.    We had a fun night.  This is us with Roger Levesque (former Sounders player) 

Little Si

I went hiking again. This time I went with my friend Rene and we hiked Little Si. 

Being among the trees and with friends is good for my soul.
