Beginning Orchestra

Our days are consumed by so many emotions and there is rarely a day that someone doesn't have a breakdown.  I have to remind myself that we are not doing anything normal and all of us are feeling it in some way.  

Colt has beginning Orchestra.  Music isn't Colt's strongest subject and learning a new instrument via zoom is no joke.  We both have to have a lot of patience to get him through his class.  But I am SO proud of the way Colt has persevered and is working hard to learn his notes and his plucking.  I really can't help him because I can barely read music but I am happy to sit by him as he tries. 

 

Writing Sample

 

There isn't a whole lot going on over here so I haven't been taking many pictures.  But I did find this one from a few days ago.  It's a sample of Bo's writing.   "I fal at the park and hit my hed."   I didn't even know this happened until he wrote about it.  

Panda & the Eagle

 

Bo received a Michael's gift card from the Barquist's.  (Uncle Brian, Aunt Angie, Abi & Andrew).  He used it to add to his animal collection.  He picked out this Panda and Eagle. 

 

Haircuts and Park Time

Cameo came up to give us all haircuts.  Well, Colt & Darby didn't want or need one.  

Then we went to the park to play with Ellis.

Party and Singing

We had cupcakes and cookies out in our cul-de-sac to celebrate Bo's birthday.  A few of Bo's buddies stopped by, including Jonah.  We were thankful it was a sunny day. 

We finished our celebrations by opening presents and singing happy birthday. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bo's 7th!

                              Our Bo turned 7 last weekend. 

 

We decorated Bo's door and Brad printed up pictures of these two "Bo's".

We had donuts for breakfast. 

Bo requested Sushi for lunch and dinner!    He always tries to take mine if I ever have it. 

But he quickly decided that he really didn't like sushi as much as he thought.  So we had  to go with a different plan for dinner.  

Thankfully he was happy with Spaghetti.
