Party and Singing

We had cupcakes and cookies out in our cul-de-sac to celebrate Bo's birthday.  A few of Bo's buddies stopped by, including Jonah.  We were thankful it was a sunny day.

We finished our celebrations by opening presents and singing happy birthday.

Bo's 7th!

Our Bo turned 7 last weekend.

We decorated Bo's door and Brad printed up pictures of these two "Bo's".

We had donuts for breakfast.

Bo requested Sushi for lunch and dinner!    He always tries to take mine if I ever have it.

But he quickly decided that he really didn't like sushi as much as he thought.  So we had  to go with a different plan for dinner.

Thankfully he was happy with Spaghetti.

 More birthday pictures coming!

Shared Dreams

Our nighttime routine is all over the place.  More often than not it is a lot of reminding and encouraging kids to get their teeth brushed and get ready for bed.  Then they are fighting over who mom gets to lay with.   But there are some nights where they decide that they can sleep in the same bed together.   I hope they remember these moments and not the hectic moments of trying to get to bed.

More hiking pictures

I was able to get these pictures of our recent hike off of Brad's camera.

 Taking a break.

We went over this bridge and the picture doesn't really show that it was a little precarious getting over it and then across the boulders.   But later in our hike we had a bigger boulder field so looking back this wasn't nearly as tough.

We stopped at the beach on the far side of the lake to have lunch.  We were in the shade and it was windy so we were getting cold really quickly.  I wish we could have hung out there a little bit longer.

If we had continued to the Enchantments we would have gone up Aasgard pass which is what Brad is pointing out.  It is the hardest part of the hike as it is a very steep incline.   We hope we get to try it in the future.

Barquist Peloton

Brad got this bike from work.   He asked if I wanted it but I passed.   Then he decided the kids might think it was fun.

Even though its a bit outdated its a very nice bike.  Ollie rode it for 15 minutes in the morning.  We will see how long the enthusiasm lasts.
