Shuffleboard

Shuffleboard was probably our second favorite activity, behind inner tubing.  We also went in the Kayaks a little bit, although I wish we had done it even more.

Scott & Kathy recommended a little hike behind their property.  We went on it for a little while but then it was starting to get dark.  We did get to sit on this bench and Brad took a picture.

Family Time

Our time at Hood Canal was perfect for family time. We played some board games, shuffleboard and watched a new show together.

The other amazing thing about this weekend was I didn't have to do any of the meal prep or clean up.  It was fantastic!   The kids loved all the food and never asked for a snack because there was plenty of food available.

We even had root beer floats and ice cream for dessert.

Hood Canal Weekend

In the spring of 2019 we bid on a Hood Canal weekend at the Run to Win Auction.  It was on our calendar last year but the trip was canceled last minute.   This year I rescheduled the weekend as soon as I could, but that was before COVID.   Thankfully our trip wasn't canceled and we were still able to go.

We didn't know what to expect and the kids had a lot of questions.  Thankfully we were all so impressed and had a fantastic time.

To start, the view was unbelievable and it was so peaceful.
The house was gorgeous and easily accommodated all of us.  The guest quarters were upstairs and the kitchen and master bedroom were downstairs and then the doors opened up to this great patio.

When we first got there our hosts, Scott & Kathy, provided some snacks.  Once our tummies were a little filled we got on the boat for some innertubing.

As you can imagine the kids had a blast!  I even went for a ride.

Early morning golf

We were headed to Hood Canal for a weekend away so Brad arranged for a golf game with Fafa.  He asked if any of the kids wanted to go and Darby was ready.  They had to get up at 5:30 to catch a 6:15 ferry.  She was the only one willing to wake up that early.

Darby didn't golf but had a fun time riding around in the cart and looked adorable in her golf outfit.

Working & Zoom

Brody spent a lot of time working at ONRAX.  It was great for everyone although he did come home very tired.

One day he had a ZOOM meeting for his role as a WEB leader at the middle school.  Brad got him set up so he could be part of the meeting.

More from Tinkham

More pictures from Brad's camera phone.  This is our tarp set up that kept us dry.

Brad was impressed with Darby's ability to hunker down really low during their Rush game.   She was demonstrating her abilities with us.

Ollie needed a table so Darby got down in a table top position.
