Throwback Lake Limerick

I was able to get some pictures off of Brad's phone from our time at Lake Limerick.  He was on the boat when the kids went innertubing so he got these fun ones.

The ladies went on the boat for a boat parade and the boys stayed back for a fun surprise.

They have been waiting all year for this. 

They got out their pirate stuff and even raised a pirate flag and then had fun ambushing all the boats that went by.   They were the best beach on the lake.

Next year is going to be even more EPIC!

Throwback Survivor Pictures

A few pictures from our final Survivor Challenge that I took from Brad's phone.

Bunkers

One thing on our list was to explore the bunkers.  It isn't quite as fun when you don't have other kids to play hide and seek with but the kids still liked showing Brad all the things.  Brad usually doesn't explore the bunkers with us because he is up at camp.

These views will never get old to me.  I just LOVE it!

We went over to the campfire and thought about the week of campers we would be missing.

The kids wanted to take pictures of the deer.   There were a lot of them even a few babies.

Submarines & Breakfast

We woke up Monday morning and I went for a run with Darby.   We didn't go for very long and we spotted a Submarine headed out to the sound.  So we went back to the campground to get my phone so we could take pictures.

It's hard to see but it's there, somewhere.

We decided to pack up our pie irons and test them out for this camping trip.  We made biscuits and cooked up little smokies for breakfast.  It's nice to sit around the campfire and eat a leisurely breakfast.

We had an issue with our minivan so we borrowed Grandma Shari's.  This meant we didn't have a box top so we had to pack really lightly.  We decided to only bring 3 camping chairs since we were only going to be there 2 days.  But we quickly learned that bringing enough chairs for everyone is the key to camping happiness.  Well, food is also key.  :) 

Sunset Walk

We walked from our campsite to get a view of the sunset.  

Brody wanted to do "heart hands".

Colt and Brad stayed back at the campsite.
