1st Date Anniversary

We celebrated our 1st date anniversary but this year was a little different. Duke's is temporarily closed. They don't even have take out.

We decided if we couldn't eat there we would still go there.  So, we forced the kids to come with us for an outing.  On the drive over we told the kids the story about how we met and our first date.

We drove by Brad's old apartment and we saw this sign.  We thought it was funny because we would still be on that street if we drove like Apolo lived there.

We got out of the car and Darby & Ollie took our picture.

Ollie really wanted to get a picture of us "holding" the sign up.  So, we obliged.

I love Duke's and our fun anniversary.   We can't wait to go back when they open up.

Survivor Challenge #1

We have enjoyed watching this season of Survivor.  Of course this creates all sorts of ideas in the minds of our kids so they decided they wanted to have their own Survivor with a tribal council.

Our first challenge was to see how long you could hold a cup of water on your head.  After a few minutes they had to stand with one foot. Then we added more water to the cup.

Brody was the winner.

Colt ended up being voted out.

Easter 2020 Family Pictures

I actually put on an "Easter outfit" but ended up changing before the day was over. I also made my family take an Easter family picture. So here it is.

Easter Morning

It was a different Easter for everyone this year.

I started my morning by heading down to the lake to read my bible, pray and watch the sunrise.

There was another couple there doing the same thing and we prayed together.  I cried.  What else is new?   But it was a beautiful way to start the day.

After breakfast and "church" we had an Easter Egg hunt.  The older 3 hid eggs in the front for Bo & Darby.  Then Bo & Darby hid eggs in the back for the older 3.

It was a good egg hunt as we were looking for all the eggs for quite some time.  Thankfully they have all been found.

Easter Cookies

I ordered some Easter Cookies from Paisley Parlour. (It's an adorable tea shop in Gilman Village). The order was actually a cookie decorating kit with frosting and sprinkles. The kids loved decorating them but had more fun eating them.
