Cookie Decorating

We have made this an annual tradition when the kids are out of school for conferences.

My friend Rachael has us over and the kids decorate cookies.   She made it really easy this year and did everything store bought.   They were just as tasty and just as fun to decorate.

It's just a little bittersweet that my oldest and her oldest are both in middle school so they weren't there.

How cute is Dane in his Christmas Pajamas?

Christmas Tree Hunting

Well, we went to Home Depot and found a tree in less than 20 minutes.

The next day we decorated the tree.

Actually Bo & Darby did most of the decorations.

Flips

Darby had a make up gymnastics class which was basically an open gym. So she got to do flips for as long as she wanted.

Cold but Sunny

It's been very cold here but also very sunny. I try to force my kids to go outside to play and this time I took them to Crossroads Park. Brody, Colt & Ollie actually went to work with Brad. So I just had Darby and Bo and was also watching Jonah (it wasn't a normal day for me but his parents asked).

Thanksgiving

After the Turkey Trot we came home and got in the hot tub. Then we took showers and got ready to go to Brian and Angies.

We had a great day celebrating, eating and relaxing.

I did't take many pictures but I did snag these two.

Turkey Trot

We were in town this week so I signed our family up for the Turkey Trot.   We also convinced our friends, the Hodos to join us.

It was VERY cold but once we got running we warmed up a bit.

Brody started with Trey and Colt but ended up finishing by himself.  He finished in under 22:00 minutes.

Colt ran with Trey and they finished about 27 minutes.

Ollie ran with Devin.

Darby ran with Brad.

I ran with Bo.   Poor kid.  He did awesome but he was stuck with a mom who is a little competitive and maybe a bit unrealistic when it comes to encouraging him to keep going.

I'm so proud of all of us and thankful they appease me and my crazy idea.
