After Paul Allen's death I really wanted to go to the next Seahawks game. I wanted to see how they would honor him.
I have also learned that I do much better watching the game in person than I do at home. I'm still a complete wreck but at least I can watch more of the game.
Papa Bob and Grandma Shari weren't available and we were having trouble finding a babysitter so instead I arranged 4 different playdates for our kids.
We thought it might rain but the weather turned out to be perfect for a November Football game.
Heading into the game I took this picture to send to my sister.
We lost. It was an annoying game where we had a great first drive and scored but then we couldn't quite get our groove back. But we were in it until the very end which made for excitement all the way to the last few seconds.
I finally got some video of the pregame hype. It really is a lot of fun to be in that stadium. They also had a video tribute to Paul Allen.
Then the thing that got me the most was when Paul Allen raised the 12th man flag. (They had someone else raising it then they lowered it to half mast. Then they showed the video of one of the times he actually did raise the flag)
Again, it wasn't the outcome we wanted but I am thankful for these memories we are creating together.
