The BIG house!

The main reason Brad chose this weekend to go to Michigan was because of the University of Michigan football game. It worked well with Brad's coaching schedule. 

Colt got decked out in his Jim Harbaugh outfit and Ryker put on his Michigan football gear.  The two were a riot and apparently had lots of people taking pictures of them.  And of course, they had a lot of fun at the game.  It helped that Michigan crushed Nebraska. 

Brad was able to arrange a tour of the Press box before the game.

On Friday, the boys spent some time at the University of Michigan. 

In the evening they went to the stadium where the Detroit Lions play and also went to a Detroit Tigers game.  

It wasn't the most thrilling game, but these two just like to hang out with each other.

Colt's 10 year trip

Last year Brad took Brody on a special one on one trip to LA.  We decided it was their 10 year old trip and we hope to do it for all the kids.  

They all have given us some ideas and we were so excited to plan this trip for Colt.  

We also told very few people because we didn't want to ruin the surprise.  (Brody didn't like the surprise element of his trip but Colt & Ollie both told us they wanted to be surprised.)

On Thursday morning (September 20) we woke Colt up at 5:15.  He wasn't too excited to get ready for school and wanted to know why it was so dark.  I told him to brush his teeth and handed him his clothes to put on. It was all his Michigan gear that we had picked out for him. 

He looked at me, got a smile on his face and said "Michigan?"

Then they left and Colt still wasn't sure what was in store for him. 

The other surprise was his friend Ryker (and Karl) met them there.   

If this smile doesn't say it all I am not sure what does. 

They are two peas in a pod and we are so thankful they joined them for this adventure. 

They spent a lot of time playing in a very cold pool, while Brad & Karl watched from the pool deck.  :)  

Selling Rocks

Our neighbor, Kate and Darby set up a little stand to sell painted rocks. 

 They are adorable! 

Zoo Day! Woohoo!

Last Friday was a beautiful day and Bo and I met up with some friends at the zoo. Jeff, Jeannine and Jeremy met us there. 

We saw lots of animals and had fun hanging out on the statues too. 

The Lion was awesome!
