Blueberry Picking

We met up with some friends from church, Henry and Lachlan and their mom. We decided to go blueberry picking. It was one of the coolest days we have had in a while so it was nice that it wasn't too hot for us. 

Wild Ginger

I made a goal to go on one date a month in the summer. Let me tell you, it's not easy. Brad and I went on our July date last week. We had some gift cards to Wild Ginger and we finally had a chance to use them.  The food was SO yummy.  I just wish my tummy could hold more of it. 

After dinner we borrowed some friends paddleboards and went paddleboarding on Lake Sammamish.  I didn't get any pictures because I didn't want to risk damage to my phone.  

When paddleboarding was over we went to Starbucks then we took our drinks to the skateboard park where we watched some kids test out their skateboard and scooter skills.  It was actually very enjoyable! 

 

Skits and Variety Show

One of the best nights of the week is Skit Night and also the Variety Show. For some reason my kids love to get up on stage and perform. And it makes me very proud. 

Cross Country Camp- Part 2

While the campers were listening to lectures we explored the bunkers and ate ice cream. The kids also played some checkers. 

Usually after the afternoon run, the campers soak their legs in the Puget Sound.  It's good for recovery. 

Our boys tried it out too. 

Cross Country Camp - Part 1

Brad had his high school cross country camp a few weeks ago. We all went up for the week and had a blast!

Duct Tape Hat

The boys found a book called Ductigami.  It has a bunch of different projects you can make using only duct tape.  The one that caught Colt's eye was the duct tape hat.  I tried helping him make it but didn't get very far since I don't have much patience.   

Brad ended up helping him and this is the finished project.  He actually has worn the hat quite a bit.  

Coaches Camp

Brad had his 2nd year of a coaches camp for Cross Country Coaches.  He was gone from Thursday through Sunday and we missed having him around.  But he had a great time hanging out with other coaches and talking about running.  He can only get so much of that around here.
