Moclips Preview

After our trip with the Barnetts we drove down to Moclips to meet up with Fafa & Grammy and Uncle Brian's family. Here are a few pictures as a preview. I will be getting some more.

The kids made a giant sandcastle and made this sign that says Don't enter.

The beginning stages of their sand castle.

Kite flying and writing names in the sand.

Apples to Apples

These pictures aren't that great but they are from a really fun time we had playing a game with the Barnetts. Apples to Apples is a game where you match an adjective with a word.  Everyone puts in one card hoping the person will pick their card.

The best part is that Bo crushed this game and beat all of us by winning 6 of the rounds.  It was absolutely adorable watching him every time he would win.

Naps & Rocks

I love watching my kids enjoy their vacation. Whether it's nap time, throwing rocks into the water or making up their own game, it makes me smile.

Clallam Bay

Tracey booked a cabin in Clallam Bay. Since she wasn't familiar with the area and needed a house big enough for both of our families this is what she found. It ended up being a pretty good spot and we were able to drive to a few different destinations to explore the Peninsula. We also spent time just hanging out at the cabin. Doing puzzles, playing games and having s'mores. This is the life!

We hiked to Cape Flattery which is the most Northwest you can get on the continental United States.  It was beautiful.   I'm waiting to get more pictures from the Barnetts.

Sadie loves doing makeup, so of course Darby was THRILLED to have her makeup done.

At the Lake

Brad's college roommate and teammate, Jeff Barnett came to visit with his family. Chase & Riley have visited in the last few years, but Jeff, Tracey and Sadie haven't been since our wedding. That was almost 14 years ago! One of the first nights we were here we took them to Lake Sammamish State Park. We stayed there until the sunset. Which meant it was way past the kids bedtime. Thankfully they only had a two hour school day the next day.

They explored the city on Wednesday while we finished up school.  Then on Thursday we all loaded up the cars for our Olympic Peninsula adventure.

Last Day of School

Wednesday June 20th was our last day of school.

And it was HOT!  Around 90 degrees.

Brody & Ms. Bachman

Ollie & Ms. Blastos

Darby & Ms. Bauer

There was an end of the year assembly.   This year they had to divide it into two groups because of construction.  And I don't know how it happened but all 4 of my kids were in the same assembly!

A few videos of them singing their class song.   It's hard to see Darby & Colt but they are there.

I still can't believe this is the end of elementary school for Brody.  We are both sad about it.

This was what they saw when they got off the bus.  Unfortunately it has rained since then and it's gone.  I was hoping it would last all summer.
