Dads at Recess

On the first friday of every month they have Dads at Recess. Brad can't always go but he sure enjoys it when he can. Last month Brody told Brad that it was ok if he couldn't make it. (It wasn't a big deal to him). I told Brody that he only had 2 more dads at recesses left and I think it really made him realize that he will be moving on to middle school. (And yes I was teary thinking about it). 

Track Meet

Colt went with Brad to his track meet in Bellingham. The team rode up in a big RV (owned by one of the parents).  So Colt had a warm, dry place to watch the meet. 

Brody's 11th Birthday!

We celebrated Brody's 11th Birthday! It's always hard to believe another year has gone by. We are so proud of him and thankful he is our first born. He is a natural leader at home and at school.  We are just sad that he is growing up so quickly. 

Easter Sunday

We were infected with the Stomach bug which lasted over a week in our house.  Just when I thought we were over it someone else would get it.   Easter morning it was Brody.  So Brad stayed home and we had Easter at home.  

I took the other kids to church.   They had a live petting zoo for the children's area.

Egg Hunt #2

Our neighbor couldn't make our first Easter Egg hunt so I said we could do another one with her.  Her cousins joined us too. You can never have too many egg hunts. 

Egg Hunt #1

We had our annual cul-de-sac Easter Egg hunt the day before Easter. Thankfully it was a beautiful day and absolutely perfect for a hunt. 

Lunch Date

A few weeks ago Brad asked if I could meet him for lunch, without any kids.  He only gave me about a 20 minute notice so I had to take a rain check.  But thankfully I found a friend to watch Darby & Bo the next day and was able to meet up with Brad for lunch.   What a treat!   

The only bummer is when it ended and we both had to get back to reality.   

Dates are so important for us and it's been awhile since we have had one.
