Straight No Chaser

Over Christmas break we discovered a fun version of the 12 days of Christmas. We looked up the singer and discovered a great group called Straight No Chaser. 

We started listening to their song over and over.  Brody was especially into it. 

 Brad learned they had a concert at the Paramount in Seattle so we surprised Brody with some tickets. 

They both had a fantastic time and raved about the show. 

Flying Circus

When the cousins came to town we met up with them at Flying Circus. It is an indoor trampoline park with a lot of other fun obstacles. The kids had a blast and were sad to leave. 

Date #1 - The Greatest Showman

It's one of our favorite times of the year (well, we have a lot of favorite times). 

January Date Nights is here and we were able to get out on our first date.  We went to our favorite sushi place and then went to see The Greatest Showman.  It was fantastic!  We would both highly recommend it. 

 

Cousins

Jenny came to town with her family. The kids had a blast with their cousins.  It's fun to see them growing up but also sad that it is all happening so quickly and we don't see them nearly as much as we would like to. 

Ice Skating

We took the kids to the Bellevue Ice Skating rink. 

It wasn't as busy as last year when we first started but it did get busier.  We also saw some of Brad's cross country runners there.   The kids had a blast! 

 

Christmas Morning

Here is the truth. I'm a bit of a grinch at Christmas time. I get overwhelmed by the pressure to buy and accumulating more stuff. And once again on Christmas morning I was reminded of how special this season is, especially as the kids get older. 

In all the craziness of the White Christmas it wasn't quite as relaxful as I would have hoped but it was still filled with some great family memories.  Something I am truly thankful for.
