Super Bowl Party

We went to Scott Wood's house for the Super Bowl Party. It is such a tradition now that it really is fun for all of us.  I told myself I didn't care who won this year but I guess I kind of did because I was annoyed that the Patriots came back to win.   Oh well.....go Hawks!

Basketball

I don't do a great job taking pictures and videos of their basketball games. I confess, I am too busy talking to other parents and its mostly not about basketball.  Oh and I'm also answering to a few of my kids.

I did get these few.

Colt has been to almost every single one of Brody's practices.  I think it has paid off.  He has a lot of confidence with the basketball and isn't afraid to drive it to the basket.  Brad had to tell him to stop doing it in this game.

Brody had his last basketball game.  He was a superstar, always is.  He works super hard and we just love watching him play.

Date #5 #JanuaryDateNights

My friend Ganesa came up and watched the kids so Brad and I could have a date on the ski slopes.  I was very rusty but after a few runs I got into a better groove.  It was nice to be on the mountains and to be hanging out with Brad.

After a few hours of skiing, Brody & Colt joined us and we went on a few more runs.  Brody & Colt crushed it and were waiting for me the whole time.   It was so fun!

Magic Carpet

We had plans to go night skiing on Sunday but forgot that the pass is closed on Sunday nights. So we bought ice cream instead.

On Monday morning we got everyone dressed and made our way over to the Magic Carpet.  It's an ordeal.  Plus we had to rent skis for Bo....another 45 minute ordeal standing in line, but it was just me and Bo.   Brad took Ollie & Darby on the magic carpet.  Brody & Colt went on the chair lift by themselves.

The 45 minute wait to rent Bo's skis was worth it.  And so was the whining before it all started.

Darby was a master, independent as could be and just went up and down the magic carpet all by herself.  If she had it her way she would have stayed there all day.

She is ready for the chair lift.

It was such a fun morning of skiing.

Hot Tub & Snow

My friend Ganesa let us use her condo again. The kids have been asking about this weekend for a long time and we finally were able to use it. Although we almost didn't because I ended up with the stomach flu.

We went up Sunday morning and as soon as we unpacked Brad took Brody & Colt skiing.  The other kids had no trouble with this because they wanted to go in the hot tub.   Thankfully there is a time limit for the hot tub otherwise they would be in there all day.

(This picture is actually from the 2nd day but I was able to get it because Brad got in too)

I also made the kids go outside for a little bit.  It was fun walking around in the snow.

I thought this was a fun picture.  Sleds and Saucers are not allowed but that didn't stop Bo from sledding on his belly.

Front Tooth

Ollie's tooth has been dangling for years....or at least it seemed that way. He kept wiggling it, touching it and obsessing over it. We even have a good story about it almost coming out at the top of the mountain when he was skiing.

It was still in there after all that.   Then he went to sleep.  When he came downstairs the next morning I asked him if he lost his tooth.  He said "I don't know."  Then he smiled and I saw that it was gone.   I started cheering and Ollie wasn't sure what I was so excited about.  He lost his tooth and didn't even know it.  We had to quickly run upstairs and search for his tooth in his bed.  Thankfully we found it.

He is proud of his missing tooth.
