Last week the Sounders won the MLS cup. It's a big deal! Especially in this house. It's fun to know that Brad and I have been season ticket holders since their first game as an MLS team. When the Seahawks won we went to the parade and even though it was the craziest thing we had done we said we would do it again in a heartbeat.
So when the Sounders won we stood by to see when the Parade was going to happen.
We took the kids out of school, couldn't find a babysitter for the youngest two and turned it into a fun family day. It was fun, but cold. We are so glad we went.
By far the highlight of the whole thing was when we spied a TV reporter. I asked the boys if they wanted to be on TV and tried to get his attention. He noticed us and asked the boys. Brody was excited to say something. He did such a great job even though I only heard a very small part of it. It was a classic case of the Barquist boys. Brody answered the questions, Colt stood by and watched and Ollie jumped up and down yelling "Go Sounders."
Thankfully my friend saw it on TV and got a few pictures.
We haven't been able to track down the video.
I absolutely love making these fun family memories (even though there is a whole lot of work to make it happen).
