A new drone

Colt got a Toys R Us gift card for his birthday (from Uncle Brian, Aunt Angie, Abi & Andrew).  He was begging me to take him to Toys R Us but I finally convinced him to order something online.

I think he had fun doing research on toys.

He finally settled on this drone.  It's much smaller than I would have thought but he still loves it.

Celebrating 2!

I can't believe my baby is 2! I'll write it again....I can't believe my baby is 2!

The night before he woke up a little after we put him down so I brought him in bed with us.  He quickly fell asleep.  I sat and stared at him.  Then I cried.   Don't feel bad.  They were sad tears but they were also happy tears.   Sad because it is so hard for me to remember what they were like as babies, unless I see a picture.  Happy because I feel so incredibly blessed to have 5 healthy wonderful children.   My days are crazy, but full of fun, love and laughter.

And so we celebrated Bo.

He wanted waffles with whip cream for breakfast, shell mac n cheese for lunch and tomato soup for dinner.  Well, at least he kept saying yes to Ollie when he asked him if that is what he wanted.

Bo and his big pile of whip cream.

My beautiful, wonderful, crazy kids!

And this is what makes me cry.  See how much they have grown.

Ollie spearheaded the efforts to wrap up some presents for Ollie. Thankfully he found some gems in the house and Bo never even noticed.

Happy Birthday Bo!

Frozen Yogurt Birthday Party

Colt & Ollie had a soccer game Friday night so I thought it would be fun to have a little pre-birthday party celebration at Peaks Frozen Yogurt. We asked Brian, Angie, Abi and Andrew to join us.  Such a fun time celebrating our Bo before he turned 2.

Fun at the Park

Darby spent some time with her friend Norah. Her mom sent me these two pictures from the park.

Great White Sharks

Colt is playing on the Great White Sharks. We were a little bummed because it wasn't a team from our school. There is only one other kid on the team from Sunset.  But we traded that for a really great coach.  He is just one of the parents, but he knows how to keep the kids in line while teaching them good soccer skills.  And most importantly he gets them to be aggressive and work hard.

Colt has been doing a great job.

In this game he scored two goals even though his team ended up losing 7 - 4.   He is such a hard worker that it is such a joy to watch.

It's hard to see him in htis picture but he is int he green shirt with red socks.

In one morning

I had to take a picture of this. This room was mostly clean when I woke up in the morning. And within 20 minutes it was like this.  Part of it makes me want to cry.  I'm told it gets easier.  But I don't know if I want it to get easier because I will miss these days...when they are so little and can drive me a little bit crazy in just a few minutes.

Yellow Jackets

Brody plays on the Yellow Jackets even though they have gray shirts. He has 13 players on his team and they play 5-a-side. (I already sent the league my complaint....I'm one of those parents). Aside from the very limited playing time Brody (and the rest of his team) gets it is a true joy watching him play. He isn't the fastest or the most natural athlete but he works hard, stays focused and tries his very best.  I'm proud to be his mom.
