The Great Soccer Campout

We had our Great Soccer Campout.

Last year we only had two families along with Jeannine and her husband.  This year we were able to do a better job coordinating everyone's calendars and had 4 families, plus Jeannine, her husband and their newborn baby.

It was another awesome, relaxing, fun, entertaining weekend.

Filling up water balloons for the epic water fight.

Jeannine brought out her snow cone machine which is an instant hit with the kids, all 13 of them.

The water fight starts.

Refilling water cannons, buckets and anything else that can get someone wet.

Darby enjoyed this massage chair inside.

Most of the kids hovering around the foosball table.

We set up a big slip n slide. (but it wasn't quite as good as Papa Bob's).  This time Brad had a chance to try it out.  He was a little bruised and battered after his attempts. (check out the videos below)

Bo finally got the hang of these scooters.  Often times I would wonder where he was and he would be around the house happily driving his scooter around.

We had lots of fun playing badminton.  Brody especially loved it.

Cousin Visit

These are a few more pictures my sister took when she was out here visiting.

Our trip to Saltwater Park

The kids love going in the hot tub at Papa Bob's.
But they are starting to get too big for it, or maybe not.

Playing on the swings at our house.
Sayler taught Darby how to pump her legs. This has been wonderful since Darby doesn't need me to push her anymore.  Although she still loves a good underdog.

Taking Bo for a spin on the Go-Karts because he never wants to be left out.

Soccer

The great big slip n slide.
And a picture of me testing it out.

We went up to my parent's property one day and the first thing Gunner said when we got out of the car is that he saw a black fox.   The kids were a little worried (and so were the parents) but after awhile we knew we were ok.   But we did do a little reenactment as if we just saw a bear (or a black fox)

Church Party

On Friday my dad wanted to take all the kids to a summer party at his church. We were one of the first to arrive so it took awhile to get everything set up.  By the time we had to leave everything was rocking and the kids didn't want to go.

Go Karts

One of the new toys my parents bought is a go kart. The kids had a blast driving it around.

It made me a little nervous watching them but I got used to it after a little while.

After some go kart racing, Joe came home and played frisbee golf with the kids.  We seriously should pay Joe for the entertainment he provides for all the kids.  They love him.

Saltwater State Park

Jessi came into town with her family. We made the trek down to my parents and spent the day with them. We took the kids down to Saltwater State Park. It was a perfect day.

I'm sure the kids could have stayed there all day but Jessi and I were getting tired.

Papa Bob took all but Darby & Bo back to the house via the trail.   They were back so fast because the ran almost the whole way back.

25 laps

Brad challenged the boys to run 25 laps around our house. They did.

Darby & Bo did some running too.

They were tired.
