Lunch Money

For the past month Brody has been telling me about his Lunch Money performance. I had no idea what he was talking about but acted excited for it. I finally got an explanation and learned it was a collection of poems his class was reciting from the book Lunch Money. We were able to bring siblings but I opted to leave them with a friend so I could enjoy it and get some video.  Brody was also one of the two stage crew members.  It was cute watching him and his buddy as they would remember what they had to do.

A classmate of Brody's was sick, so Brody stepped in and did the poem for him (without much practice).

A few pictures from Brody's baseball game. And a few videos.

Skateboard Park

Brody had another game at a park by our house. Its a terrible park for moms with kids because the playground AND bathrooms are quite a walk. They do have this skateboard park just up the hill from the field. Still not ideal, but a good second option.

The only downside is it was hard to get them away from it.

Early Summer Barbecue

Brad had some friends over and it was a perfect night for a barbecue.

We even put out our fire pit for s'mores.

Peyton Manning Beads

We have a big bin of Perler Beads and the kids like to create things with them. Ollie decided he wanted to make a bead of himself in his Peyton Manning jersey. He did such a great job with very little help.

Then he wanted me to take a picture so we could send it to George and Wes.

Then Darby & Colt wanted to photo bomb the picture.

Sweet Little Poser

I LOVE so much about this girl. The style she has. The fun she is. The sweet little poser.

Never a dull moment with her.

T Ball

This year Colt played T ball. Since I don't know much about baseball I just went off what they recommended based on his age.   It wasn't exactly a perfect fit for him but he did see lots of success since he didn't have to hit off a pitch.

I was finally able to get a few pictures and video of him.

If they are the last batter then everyone runs in and the inning is over.  This game Colt was the last batter.   I didn't get the hit on video but I did get him running the bases.

Since they can only run from one base to the next we encouraged Colt to work on his sliding.  He was excited about this and did it a few times.  I even got it on video once.
