Egg Coloring & Hunting

We colored some eggs and then had an egg hunt at the River house (where the Welkes were staying).

Hanging Out & Birthday celebrations

The Welkes arrived on Saturday. Brad and the boys hung out with them Saturday evening and then joined them at the jeep show on Sunday afternoon. They came back home for a little bit before heading back over to the little house they are staying in. Darby and I were still on the mend. She had perked up a little bit and I thought she was fine but she crashed hard after about 30 minutes. She was still quite worn out. 

On Monday morning she was back to her usual happy self. Thank goodness! 

The Welkes spent the evening at our house and we went to the Issaquah Brew House for dinner.   Tuesday night Brad and I went out to dinner with Karl & Lori.  No kids.  It was heavenly. 

On Wednesday I took the kids out of school and we just hung out with the Welkes for the day.  The kids had so much fun.  It was especially fun watching Darby and Aksel interact. 

Since we had to cancel our family birthday party for Brody, Ollie & Darby we had a little one with the Welkes. 

Brody turns 8!

Our big guy turned 8! It ended up being not a great day for us since Darby and I were both sick. But we were still able to celebrate Brody the best that we could. He went to IHOP with Brad for breakfast. Since we didn't get donuts we ended up getting them for breakfast the next day. 

We had KFC for lunch. 

 

The Welke's came into town so Brad and the boys went over to the house they were renting.  Darby and I stayed at home to rest. 

The next day we finally had time for Brody to open his presents. 

Even though it wasn't the greatest day for celebrating his birthday,  Brody didn't complain at all.  We are so proud of him for so many reasons. 

Cousins at the Whale Park

Before Darby got sick we were able to hang out with Gunner & Sayler. They were in town visiting. Since Aunt Jessi got sick she couldn't hang out with us but Papa Bob & Grandma Shari brought them up so the kids could all play together.   Papa Bob & Grandma Shari bought McDonald's lunch for all the kids and we took it with us to the whale park.  It was a nice day and since we were there when school was in session (I took Brody out of school early) there weren't a lot of kids there. 

After the park we came back to our house.   Gunner & Sayler ended up spending the night at our house.  As always the kids were so sad to see them leave. 

Glasses

Darby & Ollie wanted to wear my glasses. 

 And of course they wanted me to take some pictures too. 

Free Cone Day

It was free cone day at Dairy Queen. So obviously we had to go. I took some pretty cute pictures of our crew. 

Stomach Flu

Last week Darby was sidelined with the stomach flu. I also wasn't feeling that great so Darby and I had some great bonding time on the couch.

I'm happy to report she is back to her happy spunky self.
