Snowflakes

Once a week I meet up with two friends and we do a few preschool activities with the kids. This week I hosted and we had a snowflake theme.  I'm still hoping and praying we get some snow this winter.

We also had a snowflake snack.  The kids loved this!

Broncos package

Jenny & John sent us a package. I thought it was only for Ollie but she gave Brad and I some popcorn and movie tickets and called it a Christmas present. I'll take it and thank you. But of course the more exciting part of the package was Ollie's new pillow case and Jersey. He is so excited.

(Let's hope Peyton plays at least one more season).

MONSTER JAM!

One of our Christmas gifts this year were tickets to the Monster Truck Show. These were a wonderful gift from the Welke's.  Lori and I exchanged a few messages and decided on a saturday night show.   I always make sure to keep our Sundays clear for football games, especially playoff ones.  So I was completely bummed the moment I realized the Seahawks were also playing on Saturday.  I tried not to panic and began to figure out a plan.  After posting the tickets on a few different selling sites I sold all 5 of them to a neighbor.   Then we bought tickets to the Sunday afternoon show.

We dropped Bo & Darby off at Papa Bob's and drove to the Tacoma Dome.

It was REALLY loud and at first Colt just wanted to go home.  The boys had earplugs but they were still quite loud.   He sat in my lap for most of the show and ended up having a great time.

Aside from the Monster Trucks they had quad races and motor cross riders who did some pretty awesome tricks off the jump.  But there is no way my boys are every going to do that as a profession, goodness gracious!  Those poor mothers.

A few videos.

What a fun experience for all of us!

Seahawks Cookies

We were expected to win by 11 points but I was still a nervous wreck. I'm so happy the Seahawks won. Before the game I had the kids decorate some cookies. It was a fun way to get ready for the game.

Ollie's cookies are orange because he loves the Broncos.  We made an agreement that he would cheer for the Seahawks with me if I cheered for the Broncos with him.  We were both sad the Broncos lost their game.

He will tell you his favorite team is the Bwoncos and is favorite player is Peyton Manning.   His other favorite team is the Seahawks and is favorite player is Wussell Wilson.  Peyton is a weally good passer and Wussell Wilson is a weally good wunner.

Seahawks are #1

I forgot to get a picture of Colt and his cookies but they turned out cute too.

Date Night on the Trampolines

Our 2nd date was on a Thursday night. Our neighbor babysat the kids. She is fabulous and we are so thankful for her.  Brad and I went to Skymania Trampolines in Kirkland.  We jumped for an hour.   There was hardly anyone there.  I think only 2 other paying customers, but I think there were 4 or 5 guys that work there that were just jumping.

We had a blast!  It's so fun to do things when its just us two.

After all that jumping we went to dinner at Coho Cafe.  One of our favorites.  It was nice that we had worked up an appetite.

Unbroken

For the 3rd year in a row we are trying to go on a date once a week during the month of January.

Last week was Date #1.  We were able to get a babysitter (very last minute) so we had enough time to go see a movie.

Brad and I both read this book and highly, highly recommend it.  I don't want to say its my favorite but it probably is.   So we were both looking forward to seeing this movie.  Although at the same time we were a little anxious about how it would compare to the book.

As in most cases, it wasn't as good as the book but it was still a great movie.  The story itself is absolutely incredible.  Read the book then go see it.

Morning Exercise

Bo woke up the other morning and was ready to start his morning run. Gosh, I just love this kid!

Brody was helping him with the high 5s.
