Thanks for asking

We have this hat that looks similar to one Marshawn Lynch wore in one of his infamous interviews. Brad wanted to get a picture of Bo in it. These are a few of the outtakes.

 Thanks for asking.

Battleship

Since all of the kids have been home for winter break we have had some looooong days. Although it was a little draining on me I was often reminded of the joy of siblings.

With Brody as the leader they made up a game where they were all in a battleship.  Colt was in the front watching out for enemies.  Darby & Bo were ready to fire (not sure what it was they were going to shoot).  And Brody was in the back yelling out the commands.

It was precious.  I hope these memories will stick with them as they get older.

Rainy day raking

The boys have been asking how they can make some money. Ollie wanted to do something outside so Brad said he could rake some leaves. I think he did a pretty good job in the rain. Brody joined in on the action too.

More Panning

On New Year's Day we had another family adventure with gold panning. We went to the same spot so we knew what we were in for. The water level was much lower which made for easier access to the pay dirt. The kids still didn't last very long but it was a good excuse to get out of the house.

Physics

Brody received a Physics Science Kit from Fafa & Grammy.
He made this car and I snapped a quick picture.

Cold Park Day

I love these sunny cold days but its also really hard for me. I just want to go on a nice long run or walk by myself. It's hard to do with all the kids at home.  I try to get them outside but they are usually really cold after 10 minutes.   I can't blame them.

The other day we had to run an errand for Brad.  We stopped off at the park for a little bit to get some fresh air and to save some of my sanity.

If you look closely you can spot all 5 of my kids.

Ollie was the first to get too cold.  We didn't last very long.

Spitting

This is how our conversation went.

 Darby: Mom, take a picture.
Me: Ok.
 Darby: I'm spitting.

I love this girl!

Lord, please help me.
