The Best Song Ever

One of our favorite things (or maybe its my favorite thing and I force it on my family) is dance parties.  This time we were dancing to "The Best Song Ever" by One Direction.   

I love watching my kids dance.   I tried to get a video of Bo dancing but he was too focused on walking instead.

Brad took some pictures of the big boys sleeping. It makes them look like brothers.

Michigan Pillow Pet

The Welke's sent Bo this Michigan Pillow Pet for his birthday. It's such a great present for Bo. Of course all the other kids love it too. 

Wooden Fort

It was such a nice day for Bo's birthday party. The kids spent a lot of time outside. They also built this fort out of the stack of wood we have on the side of the house. They did a pretty good job constructing it before it had to be taken down. 

Swinging Tricks

When people learn that Darby is the only girl in the family they always have lots of comments.

"She will be well protected."  "She must be pretty tough."  "Wow, surrounded by boys!" 

All of that is true, but what I have seen the most is Darby's no looking back attitude.  She doesn't think twice about something if its dangerous or might hurt her.  If her brothers do it, she does it too. 

This time she was all about the swings. Love this little girl!

Eating Cake

I baked the cake and Brad decorated it. 

We took off Bo's nice shirt so he could eat without worrying about getting messy. 

 

But he didn't get all that messy.  In fact he only really started to get into the cake after we cut it into pieces for him. 

 

Bo's Birthday Party

After Bo's dedication we had a little family birthday party to celebrate. 

It was such a beautiful day.  The kids enjoyed lunch outside.
