1st Grade Halloween Party

Brody had a Halloween Party at school. At first all the 1st grade classes did a presentation of poems and songs. It was cute to watch but I didn't have a very good view of Brody.  He is behind the girl in the black shirt with sunglasses.

After the presentation the kids had a party in the classroom.  I was able to help out a little and it was nice to finally be able to see where he spends most of his day.

Our pirate!

A few videos from their performance.

Happy Halloween

This year we had a pirate, a lobster, zebra, tiger and a watermelon.

We went to our neighbors for pizza and snacks before we went out for candy.  I ended up going with Ollie, Darby & Bo.  Brad took Brody & Colt since they were running from house to house.

Brad has been working on repainting our front porch so we have had plastic sheeting up to keep it dry. We decided we could make a fun Halloween decoration with it.

I took a few pictures of my lobster and watermelon.

Flu Shots + Blizzards

I don't do a lot of bribing, but I do resort to it at times. Last year when I took the kids in for Flu shots it was one step away from a mom nightmare. Other than Brody I had to peel each one of them off the floor and pull them out from under the chair. All while they were screaming in my ears. So this year, along with my pep talk, I bribed them with a treat.

Thankfully for them they only had to do the Flu mist and it wasn't bad at all.  They were happy to get their blizzards.

And I took all 5 of them by myself to get blizzards.
They did a great job!

Pretend Darby

The boys were upstairs in bed and Brad and I were watching TV downstairs. Since I'm still in a sleep deprived state I let a lot of things go. We could hear them upstairs and knew they weren't asleep. When we finally went upstairs to check on them and also for me to go to sleep we discovered they were up to a little creative mischief.

Brad was very upset they were stilla wake.  I thought it was pretty clever.

Brody & Colt had made a "pretend Darby" so that it would scare Ollie when he woke up the next morning.  They picked out all her clothes including a hat and shoes.

And if you look close enough you can see the saw in Darby's hand.  Scary stuff, huh?

Run to Win Sounders game

Along with people from our church we went to the Sounders game against the LA Galaxy. Before the game they had an event sponsored by Run to Win. This is a Christian organization that has sports camps in the summer. They also do a few events throughout the year including this with the Sounders.

They had a band and Zach Scott (one of the Sounder's players) spoke about his career and his faith.

After the "pep rally" we hiked up to our seats and had a good time.

Bo & Darby were at home with our friend, Jami.
(She is one of my friends that loves watching our kids, especially when they are newborns).

Although it was a lot of work, it was great getting out of the house for a few hours.  It was also fun to bring the 3 big boys.  This was Ollie's first sounders game.

The Sounders tied 1 - 1.

Green Knitted Hat

Lori knitted this adorable hat for Bo. I get compliments on it everywhere we go.
