One week old

My time flies. It is still hard to believe that this little guy is one week old. These pictures are technically from when he was six days. If you think he is cute you should see him in person.

His brothers love him too.

I still have pictures from the hospital and from visitors but need to get them from Brad's phone.  Those will be coming soon.

What's in a Name?

I'm sure a few people have wondered how we came up with his name.

When we were expecting Darby we needed a name if it was a boy.  It took us FOREVER and we finally decided on Bo Rollin. (pronounced Rawlin) We liked how Bo sounded with our other kids.   There are a few Bo's that I know so I was a little hesitant but it didn't stop me from liking it.

Since we had Darby we didn't need to use that name. When we started talking about names for this baby we decided we would use it, until about a week before he was born.  Brad said he wasn't sure if it was the right name for him.   So were back to the discussion board. After a handful of names and many late nights of discussion we decided to go with Bo Rollin.  I think it fits him perfectly.

Rollin is the first name of my grandpa.  My dad's dad.  If he was still with us he would be the first to tell you that he did not like his name, but he would also be the first to tell you how special it was to have another child named after him.

My brother's middle name is Rollin and my nephew Sean also has the middle name.   It will be fun for Bo to share his middle name with these two.

More of Bo

My camera is still giving me trouble so I didn't get nearly as many pictures as I would have liked. Brad took a lot on his camera phone and I will put those up soon. In the meantime here are a few more pictures of baby Bo.

Thoughts on 5

I'm not even sure where to begin about my thoughts on our 5th baby.  This has been a dream but sometimes it is hard to believe it is almost my reality.  We are so blessed with these kids and are so excited to add another one.

I still have no idea if it will be a boy or girl.  The moment I have a feeling of a specific gender I quickly think of a reason its not.   I would be so happy for Darby if she had a little sister, but I will be equally thrilled to add another boy (because then it would be just me and Darby for girl time).

We have a great "village".   Our family, especially, but also our church community, friends, and our neighbors.  They don't hesitate to lend a helping hand.

I have to admit I am more anxious about this one than I have been about the others.  I'm not sure if its because this will be our last or because it seems like I have waited a long time to meet this precious one.  Either way I know I have lots of people praying for us and thinking about us.

Our family of 6....soon to be family of 7.

This was taken right before my parents took the kids so we can wake up at 5:00 am to go to the hospital.

Stay tuned...

And we still haven't settled on a name for a boy or girl.  Hopefully we will figure out something soon.

Darby & Soccer

Another night of soccer. The forecast didn't look very good and it sounded so appealing to stay home in warm pajamas watching a movie with the other kids. But I knew this might be the last game for me to watch this season. So we took all the kids and missed out on the rain. Brody, Ollie & Darby had fun playing their own games on the side of the field.

Our scoring soccer star had two goals this night.

(It just cracks us up, because he is the smallest and is not the best player but he just knows that he needs to get it in the goal.  I never understood how those players did it and maybe Colt will be one of those players).   He gets so excited when he scores or when anyone scores for that matter.

Sleepy Baby

This is my favorite thing. I am always jealous when Brad gets to hold Darby.  He sat on the couch and held her for a good 15 minutes before I changed her into pajamas.

This was after Abi's party so she was really wiped out.
