Dedication

We were scheduled to have Darby's dedication a few weeks ago. But since we were sick we had to reschedule. Although I don't like to change plans it was a true blessing to be able to do Darby's dedication with Aksel.

Our church does baby dedications as a way to pray for the babies and families.  It was such a great reminder for me of what an incredible gift each one of my children are.  I was also reminded that we can't raise these kids by ourselves.  Not only are we constantly relying on friends and family, but we always need to rely on God and trust Him.

The kids were able to join us up front too.

(Unfortunately this is the only picture we got of the event)

Dinner Time! Oh Yeah!

There are some times dinner is the most stressful time of our day. Then there are other times where we make up silly things and the boys think it is the greatest thing.

One thing we did a few months ago is started saying certain things and then the boys would say "oh, yeah" or "boo".  For example, "Santa coming to visit." "Oh Yeah!"  or  "Raining so hard you can't go outside and play."  "Boo"

Brad also introduced Big Pills and Small Pills to the boys.  He tells them he put small pills in their food so they won't get any bigger.

Here are a few videos that include these two games.

Rock Stars

Brad did the boys' hair after bath time. They were in a rock star mood.

I even had the opportunity to get Colt on video.

Championship Game

We went over to the Welke's to cheer on Michigan in the Championship Game. It was a great game even though the outcome wasn't what we hoped for.

And as always the kids had a great time playing.

A little pregame basketball.

It's fun to see Darby & Aksel interacting more.

Lego Birthday Party

We had to reschedule Brody's birthday party with his friends so we had it this last week. He invited two of his friends from school, our neighbor and a friend from church.

Brody and I had decided on a Lego theme.
A few days later he wanted a science party, then an art party and also a monster truck party.
We stuck to LEGOS.

It was a perfect amount of kids, time and fun.

Lunch

Free play with LEGOS.

Brad had gone to the LEGO store to put together various Lego pieces.  Each kid had their own bag of legos and then we challenged them to build different things.

Cars

Boats
Airplanes
We made a LEGO cake.  Brad gets all of the credit for making it brick red.  I thought the pink would be just fine for a birthday party and wasn't worth another trip to the store for more food coloring.

I guess it was worth the trip.

All the kids.

Ollie, Colt, Ben, Brody, Liam, Trey & Drew

We are thankful for the friends in Brody's life.

ONE YEAR!

On March 21st we celebrated Darby's first birthday. Unfortunately she was still sick and had an infected eye so it took me a little while to take a picture of her. She is back to her happy healthy self and we are so thankful.

She has two teeth on the bottom and two on the top but it looks like two more are coming through.
She is gaining weight now that she has regular food and is drinking milk.

She isn't walking but is testing out her standing skills.

She loves her brothers but also gets frustrated with them when they take things away from her.  She loves being outside and actually throws a little fit whenever we have to come in.

She is signing "more", "please", "all done", and sometimes "milk".

She (kind of) says daddy, mommy, cracker, car, and all done.

We love our little Darby!

Final Four - Go BLUE!

We all got dressed up in our Michigan gear to get ready to watch the final four game.  The best part about it was watching Brody & Colt get excited for the game.  They sat through the whole game watching it and cheered right along with us.

We are excited to watch the Championship game tonight!

Go BLUE!
