Egg Hunt #2

The Saturday before Easter we went to my friend Julie's house.  She was hosting a big easter egg hunt.

Brody wanted his picture with the Easter Bunny and the Easter chick.  Colt was scared of them.

This is the table of prizes for those that found a golden egg.  (It ended up that each kid walked away with at least two prizes)
Ollie with the bunny ears. What a cutie!
He's already got the hang of this Easter egg thing.

He had a face plant in the wet grass.  It was all over him.

Brody wanted the Easter bunny by him the whole time.  He asked the Easter Bunny if she would sit with him.   She was so nice and helped Brody with his lunch.  (This was especially nice for me because it was just me with the boys.  Brad had a track meet.  My sister and Justin were there but they had their two kids too)

In true Julie fashion (she was my soccer coach at Westmont)  there was a kids vs. adult soccer game.   I was able to snag this cute picture of Colt running to kick the ball.

Egg Hunt #1

We have been involved with a PEPS group since Brody was 6 weeks old.  We don't get together as often anymore since the kids are involved in preschool and more activities.  One of the moms organized an Easter egg hunt and we were able to make it.

All the kids ready to hunt.

Opening their eggs to see what they got.

Shelley (Katie's mom) made these cute Bunny ears for the kids.

Julie (Alexander's mom) made these adorable cupcakes.

A few short videos of them in action (please ignore the mommy voice...ughh)

Dying Eggs

I decided to be a good mom and let my boys dye easter egs.  I put them in one of my t-shirts so they couldn't get there's messy.  It was a very messy experience but I think they had a fun time.

I was actually impressed by how well the boys did.  Not to bad.

Make A Wish Sounders Night

WARNING: There are lots of pictures and they do not include cute little kids.

Our friends, Mike & Heather, invited us to a Make-A-Wish dinner with the Sounders.  They invited 50 of their soccer/Sounder loving friends and we were honored to be part of it.   We had such a fun time!

Mike (the host) and Brad
(oops, the picture is a little blurry)

Six of the Sounders players came to be our servers/waiters for the evening.  It was entertaining watching them as they tried to serve us appetizers, refill our glasses and bring us our food.  We hope they stick to playing soccer, for everyone's sake.

By the end of the evening Carolyn had acquired Mike's phone number so that she could get passes into the locker room for the next home game.   She baked one dozen cookies for each player and two dozen cookies for Mike after the Sounders won their home game 3 - 0.

Brad & Pat Noonan (Sounders) He was the waiter at our table and kept Brad's beer very full.   I had to drive home.

My favorite picture.  Me and the Sounders

& Brad (can you guess how many beers he has had by now?)

We had such a great night!  We have so much fun watching the Sounders and going to as many games as we can.  We are big dorks but it is a lot of fun enjoying things like this together.

Thanks Mike & Heather!

Beginning Gardeners

We are hoping to get our garden going again.  This year we decided to try some starters since our weather has still been a little cold.   The boys had fun putting dirt in the egg cartons and planting the seeds.

So far, we only have a few that have started to grow.  I think the egg cartons aren't going to work.   But that is how we learn these things for the next time.

Crazy Hair Day

Colt has some fine hair and quite a bit of it.  It tends to get a little out of control sometimes.

The pictures don't quite show all of the craziness but here are a few of them.

Marching Hats and then some

Our neighbors were doing some spring cleaning and gave these boys red marching hats (they were from the Nutcracker).

A few pictures from our time outside.

Olivia decided to take Ollie for a ride.  (Ollie loves Olivia!)
